what is conversion rate optimisation?

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a broad umbrella term of a number of practices designed to increase website rankings in Search Engines. As it is a broad term, components that make up SEO are often different from agency to agency, but there are two sides to the SEO coin, Internal (On-Site) & External (Off-Site), each with their own branches.

Some recent additions to front-end code include: Responsive Design (Mobile-First Search), Structured Data (more detailed business details and star ratings in organic Search) and the re-introduction of JavaScript.

Speed is a major factor in both how Search Engines rank a website as well as the user experience, which affects conversions. Removing whitespace (minifying), placing code in correct order and image optimisation are a number of speed improvement techniques we use.

We believe Keyword research is our job, so we’ll never ask for a set list of keywords from a client. In addition, while we may be required to focus on a set number of keywords due to time constraints, we will not limit the reporting to just that set. We use a number of services in order to give us an unbiased group of well performing keywords.

Edits to existing content to increase performance for Keywords

When Amarise takes over SEO on a live website, the existing content often needs a little love. We’ll go over all pages (excluding existing articles) to see what needs improving.

Existing Competitor Backlinks and broken links

Discovery of backlinks leading to competitor websites allows us to emulate the success of higher- ranking websites by matching their existing backlinks where possible. This essentially cancels out that particular backlink that provided benefit for the competitor.

Content Gap

Discovery of keywords for same/similar industry and competitor websites. Recommendation of new content addressing this Gap within the monthly report.

Citations

Citations are links on Directory websites, while they aren’t very powerful as far as backlinks are concerned, they can funnel in potential customers while having a small benefit to SEO.

Trust Links

Trust backlinks are a major aspect of SEO. The more links to a website, the more Google deems it trustworthy. Backlinking is performed using a number of tactics such as: Asking business associates for links, guest posting on suitably aligned websites, commenting and Testimonials where relevant.
